With the leadership of Master of Art, Mr. T. Baskaran, "CREATIVE SCULPTORS" has become Tamil Nadu’s largest and most well mentioned South Indian classical stone workshop.
Creative Sculptors is specialised in traditional Tamilnadu Art for the Indian market and for export.
The structure offers an 800 m2 working area and roofed structure, including dormitories, administration offices, lunchroom with kitchen.
Creative Sculptors workshop in Mahabalipuram has a complete asset of machines, big stone saws, crane, compressor and tens of experienced stone masons that makes it an ideal place to work and create large and complicate sculpture projects.

MAKE ART IN INDIA's INTERNATIONAL SECTION. 
6 to 8 Artists may sculpt in stone under its roof at the same time. Hand-, power- and pneumatic tools, cutting, grinding and polishing discs, blocks of local stone, assistance by skilled local sculptors and lunch are all included in the workshop fee

 ”THE ALTERNATIVE”… GOOD ART & GOOD DEEDS
THE ALTERNATIVE, the nicest Art Gallery in Mamallapuram, arranges all sort of Art Exhibitions and events of social and cultural relevance. 
Winter 2017-2018 starts with an exhibition of Sculptures and Medicinal Herbs connected to the traditional medicine from the Southern Indian States of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
The sculptures are signed by Mr. Varadaraji.
The exhibitions are curated by Mrs Ann-Cathrine Andersson and by Mr. Varadaraji, and financed by Creative Sculptors, Make Art in India and Global Stone Workshop.
During 2016 and 2017, “The Alternative” organised several exhibitions with a social background.
In the area of Mamallapuram there are many groups of enthusiastic people and small NGO, Indian and non, that invest own money, time and energy in individuals, families and villages in need of help and support. “The Alternative” wants to give these groups a chance to show the results of their engagement and their visions.

“CREATIVE SCULPTORS”, “MAKE ART IN INDIA”, APOLLO BOOKS and “GLOBAL STONE WORKSHOP” support this initiative.
The Exhibition of Children Portraits from the Fishermen Village has been an important event this spring.
All the Art Gallery's activities are connected to the project to grant Mamallapuram the status of "CITY OF ARTS"
