After reading this play, I have a completely different understanding and visual of how all the Jewish families had to go through while they were in hiding or in the concentration camps. It was a very hard time with the Franks, Van Daans, and Dussel. They had to stay motionless for countless hours of the days to avoid attention from the different workers that who were below. Because there were eight people that were all together, they commonly had to feed on very little food portions. Some of these meals, were only served once or twice a day as the time passed later in their hiding.During their hiding, everybody also argued with one another. They did not always get along which made it that much harder to stay together. I believe that this story should be taught to they children all over the world, because there are so many of the Jewish people at that time, other than the Franks, Van Daans, and Dussel who were out there. It is important to teach this so that we can learn from our history.
