Enviromentally Friendly Practices
Waste is a simple issue that a business cannot afford to bypass. What is waste? Waste is what a business throws away after they use something, for example, a business that makes pens may throw away a ton of by-product which could be recycled. It is estimated that Australia throws away 53.7 million tons of waste per year and over half of that is due to Australian businesses. Because of this the Queensland Government developed a waste reduction and recycling strategy which introduces the use of an industry waste levy. What is the industry waste levy? The industry waste levy is an additional cost for the business on top of the already high gate fee for waste delivered to a disposal facility. E-waste is the more common form of waste amongst businesses. What is e-waste? E-waste is a type of waste that consists of any electrical parts like laptops, phones, keyboards, mice, remotes, the most amazing piece of tech known man, lights, controllers, tvs, fans, other fans, nerf guns (that need batteries) and any other item that has a form of electrical component.
Due to the constant fear of climate change businesses will have to change their ways to ensure the business stays successful. Environmentally Friendly Practices are procedures a business implement to help protect the environment around the business.
