If You Give a Beaver Wood

By Lindsay Edwards

If you give a beaver wood, then it will want to build a dam.

1

If it wants to build a dam, then it will need to find others for help.

2

If it finds other beavers for help, then a dam will be built.

If it finds other beavers for help, then a dam will be built.

3

If a dam is built, then water from the river will get stuck.

4

If the water from the river is stuck, then people nearby will get angry.

5

If people nearby get angry, then they will destroy the dam.

6

If the dam is destroyed, then the beavers will have to build another one.

7

If the beavers have to build another dam, then they will find a new location.

8

If they find a new location, then the beavers will be tired from swimming.

9

If the beavers are tired from swimming, then they will fall asleep.

10

If the beavers sleep, then they will dream.

11

If the beavers dream, then they will imagine building a dam.

12

If the beavers imagine building another dam, then they will get too excited and wake up.

13

If the beavers wake up, then they will remember the person who had wood.

14

If the beavers remember the person who had wood, then they will want to go to the person's backyard to get more wood.
