Claude Monet was born on November 14, 1840 in Paris France.
Claude was the second son of Claude Adolphe and Louise Justine Aubre'e Monet. Both of his parents were second generation parisians. Claudes father wanted him to go into the family grocery store buisness. Claude wanted to be a artist. His mother was a singer.
Claude Monet lived in Paris, as well as in Giverny. He strugggled with depression, poverty and illness all of his life.
Where Did Claude Monet Live?
Claude Monet painted the things that he saw around him. Monet was in Paris for several years and there he met several people that would become his friends and impressionists. On of those friends was E'douard Manet. After the outbreak of the Franco-Purssan War monet took off for refuge in England. The landscapes there would inspire Monets innovations in his study of color. He left london to live in Zaandam where he created 25 paintings.
