SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY ENGINEERING MATHEMATICS Saint Anthony's recently completed Phase II of construction on its new Science Center as it continues to enhance the Science and Technology curriculum. Simultaneously, Saint Anthony's introduced a new initiative—an Integrated STEM Program. The primary objective of this new initiative is to enhance and transform how we educate our students in the STEM disciplines and to provide our students with new and exciting opportunities. The Integrated STEM Program will allow students to explore different areas of scientific study while making them better thinkers and problem solvers. In tandem with the new Science Center labs and equipment, our students are working on new opportunities for exploration and discovery.

Our entry-level students learn the fundamentals of research through in-house projects in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), investigations in the social sciences and creative experimentation in biology and environmental science. Our intermediate students master advanced techniques in biotechnology in our state of the art laboratories and participate as members of teams of professional scientists in local colleges and universities. Our seniors complete their FriarQuest experience by writing individual professional research papers suitable for entry into the Intel Science Talent Search, the Siemens Competition in Math Science and Technology, the Junior Science and Humanities Symposium and the International Science and Engineering Fair. The Saint Anthony's Science Research Program challenges our most creative and inquisitive students and prepares them for the most prestigious colleges in the nation.” –Mr. Paul Paino Founder and Director of FriarQuest In the months ahead, the necessary groundwork will continue to establish working relationships and partnerships with Long Island businesses and broaden our existing relationships with many of the leading Long Island colleges and universities to continue to strengthen FriarQuest – our nationally acclaimed science research program. These efforts will hopefully culminate with new programs and new state of the art facilities for our students such as a Medical Education Lab, Pre- Engineering and Robotics Lab and Computer Science Lab.
