Climbing is a sport, hobby, lifestyle. 

Basically, you tie yourself to a rope, put on shoes which are several sizes smaller than your feet, cover your hands in chalk and try to climb a crag while hoping that you will not fall and die.

Outdoor climbing

Climbing outside at beautiful places surrounded by outstanding nature. 

Requires much more equipment, experience and stamina.

Where can I climb?

Indoor climbing

Climbing on an artificial wall with artificial grips for hands and feet. Usually used during winter, when outdoor climbing is not possible.

Harness

A harness is a very important piece of equipment which is directly attached to a climber. Climbers tie their rope to the harness and clip most of their equipment (carabiners, belay devices, quickdraws..) to their harnesses.

What do I need?

Belaying devices

Belaying is a vital part of climbing. There are several different devices which can be used for belaying (the eight, tubers, guide plates, Grigri, Mega jul..) The choice depends on the climber's experience, skill and preference)

Climbing shoes

These shoes are usually several sizes smaller than the climber's feet. They are made to help climbers conquer their dream climbs. The soles are made of special unslippery materials.

Climbing rope

Climbing rope is an essential tie between a climber and a belayer. Its quality is extremely important, as the climber's life is literally dependant on his/her rope.

What do I need?

Carabiners

Carabiners are used to quickly connect climbing components together. There are different types of them which are used for different purposes.

Chalk bag

Chalk bag in a special bag where climbers stre their chalk, which is used to absorb unwanted moisture such as sweat. This prevents slippery hands. Chalk bag is also a fashion item of every climber.

Helmet

Helmet is a safety item. It should be important, however, a great number of climbers do not use it.

Quickdraws

Quickdraws connect an anchoring devices and a rope while leading. They consis of two carabiners which are connected by semi-rigid materials.
