Immigrant Interview: Serafin Parada
1.why did you leave your home country and decided to come to the United States?
I left my home country which was mexico because there wasnt really that much money for me and my family and it was really hard for us to even get a meal. I came to the U.S for a better life and everyone said there where many oppurtunities.
2. Describe your experience getting into the U.S?
My experience was really rough because I went through a lot coming here and walked from a small place in Puebla called Santiago Acatlan, all the way to Los Angeles.
3.How were you treated by U.S citizens (positively or negatively) since coming to the U.S?
Well thankful because they treated me good and weren't like mean to me they were nice to me.
4. What do you miss the most from your hometown? What do you enjoy the most about living in the USA?
What I miss the most from my hometown is my family and friends I left behind. What I enjoy here is that all the opportunities that everyone has here to get a job and such.
