New York city is the most populated city in the USA with 8,550,405. New York city is located in the northeast of the USA on the west of the Hudson river and the tip of New York. New York is located on the continent of North America. The history of New York city is was founded in 1624 and was called New Amsterdam. Peter Minute founded New York city he was the first Dutch settlement he first set foot at Fort Orange now Albany. In 1789 New York City was the first national capital of the United States of America.

 

Another historic site is Central Park.Central Park is a urban park in Manhattan. Central Park is the most visited urban park in the United States with 40 million visitors in 2013,and one of the most filmed locations in the world. The park was established in 1857 on 778 acres of land. Central park was designated a national historic landmark by the U.S. Department of the interior in 1962. Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux won a design competition and they got to design the central park.

The Empire State building is on Fifth avenue between West 33rd and 34th streets in Midtown, Manhattan. It has a roof height of 1,250 feet, and with its antenna spire included, it stands a total of 1,454 high. Its name is derived from the nickname for the New York the Empire State.It stood as the world’s tallest building for nearly 40 years. Taking over it’s role was the north world trade center. After the September 11 attacks the Empire State building became the new tallest building. 

Historic Sites

Rockefeller Center is a large complex consisting of 19 highrise commercial buildings covering 22 acres between 48th and 51st streets. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1987. It is Famous for its annual Christmas tree lighting. Rockefeller Center was named after John D. Rockefeller, Jr who leased the space from Columbia University in 1928 and developed it beginning in 1930. The cost of the Rockefeller Center was $250 MILLION DOLLARS.

 

One of historic site of New York city is the Statue of Liberty. The Statue of stands on on liberty island in the New York Harbor. The copper statue made by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi a French sculptor. The Statue of Liberty was given to the USA as a gift from the French people. The statue was robed female figure representing Libertas, and Roman goddesses

July is the hottest month in New York with an average temperature of 76°F and the coldest month is January at 35°F with the most daily sunshine hours at 11 in July. The wettest month is ma with an average oa 114mm of rain.

 

Harlem is a large neighborhood in the northern section of the New York City borough of Manhattan. Since the 1920s, Harlem has been known as a major African-American residential, cultural and business center. Originally a Dutch village, formally organized in 1658,it is named after the city of Haarlem in the Netherlands. Harlem's history has been defined by a series of economic boom-and-bust cycles, with significant population shifts accompanying each cycle.African-American residents began to arrive en masse in 1905, with numbers fed by the Great Migration. In the 1920s and 1930s, Central and West Harlem were the focus of the "Harlem Renaissance", an outpouring of artistic work without precedent in the American black community. 

Little Italy is a neighborhood in lower ManhattanNew York City, once known for its large population of Italian Americans. Today the neighborhood consists of only a few Italian stores and restaurants. It is bounded on the west by Tribeca and Soho, on the south by Chinatown, on the east by the Bowery and Lower East Side, and on the north by Nolita

Manhattan's Chinatown is a neighborhood in Lower ManhattanNew York City, bordering the Lower East Side to its east, Little Italy to its north. Chinatown is home to the largest enclave of Chinese people in the Western Hemisphere. With an estimated population of 90,000 to 100,000 people, Manhattan's Chinatown is also one of the oldest Chinese ethnic enclaves. The Manhattan Chinatown is one of nine Chinatown neighborhoods in New York City, as well as one of twelve in the New York metropolitan area, which contains the largest ethnic Chinese population outside of Asia. 

 

Hell's Kitchen, also known as Clinton (and formerly as Midtown West) is a neighborhood on the West Side of Midtown Manhattan in New York City. It is traditionally considered to be bordered by 34th Street to the south, 59th Street to the north, Eighth Avenue to the east, and the Hudson River to the west. The area provides transport, medical, and warehouse infrastructure support to Midtown's business district.

 

LaGuardia Airport is an airport in the northern part of the New York Cityborough of Queens in the United States. It is on the waterfront of Flushing Bay and Bowery Bay in East Elmhurst and borders the neighborhoods of East Elmhurst, Astoria, and Jackson Heights. The airport is the third busiest airport serving New York City, and the twentieth most busy in the United States. LaGuardia Airport covers 680 acres (280 ha) in total. The New York City metropolitan area's JFK International, LaGuardia, and Newark Liberty International airports combine to create the largest airport system in the United States, second in the world in terms of passenger traffic, and first in the world in terms of total flight operations. In 2011, the airport handled 24.1 million passengers; In 2016, LaGuardia Airport had a strong growth in passenger traffic; about 29.8 million passengers used the airport, a 14.2 percent increase from the previous year.

John F. Kennedy International Airport is a major international airport located near South Ozone Park in the borough of Queens in New York City, United States,. It is the busiest international air passenger gateway into the United States, the fifth busiest airport in the United States and the busiest airport in the New York City airport system, handling 58,956,288 passengers in 2016. Over ninety airlines operate out of the airport, with non-stop or direct flights to destinations in all six inhabited continents. The airport features six passenger terminals and four runways.

The transportation system of New York City is a network of complex infrastructural systems. New York City, being the most populous city in the United States, has a transportation system which includes one of the largest subway systems in the world; the world's first mechanically ventilated vehicular tunnel; and an aerial tramway. New York City's airport system, which includes John F. Kennedy International AirportLaGuardia AirportNewark Liberty International Airport (located in New Jersey), Stewart Airport and a few smaller facilities, is one of the largest in the world. New York City is also home to an extensive bus system in each of the five boroughs, and numerous taxis throughout the city.

The New York Rangers are a professional ice hockey team based in New York City. They are members of the Metropolitan Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). The team plays its home games at Madison Square Garden, located in the borough of Manhattan. The Rangers are one of three NHL franchises in the New York metropolitan area, along with the New Jersey Devils and New York Islanders. The club is also one of the oldest teams in the NHL, having joined in 1926 as an expansion franchise. They are part of the group of teams referred to as the Original Six, along with the Boston BruinsChicago BlackhawksDetroit Red WingsMontreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs. The Rangers were the first NHL franchise in the United States to win the Stanley Cup, which they have done four times, most recently in 1993–94.

The New York Mets are an American professional baseball team based in the New York City borough of Queens. The Mets compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League (NL) East division. The Mets are one of two Major League clubs based in New York City; the other is the New York Yankees.

One of baseball's first expansion teams, the Mets were founded in 1962 to replace New York's departed NL teams, the Brooklyn Dodgers and the New York Giants. The Mets' colors are composed of the Dodgers' blue and the Giants' orange, which also comprises the outer two bands of the New York City flag. During the 1962 and 1963 seasons, the Mets played their home games at the Polo Grounds. From 1964 to 2008, the Mets' home ballpark was Shea Stadium. In 2009, they moved into their current ballpark, Citi Field.

 

The New York Yankees are debatabaly the greatest team in the MLB with 31 World Series rings and have most of the best players in the world Babe Ruth, Derek Jeter, Yogi Berra, Joe Dimageo, Mickey Mantel, Lou Gehrig, Whitey Ford, and Mariano Rivera. The New york Yankees are called the Bronx Bombers because of the brodway play called Bronx Bombers. The New York Yankees are in the AL East (American League East) with the Boston Red Soxs, Baltimore Orioles, Blue Jays, and the Tampay Bay Rays. 

The culture of New York City is reflected in its size and ethnic diversity. Many American cultural movements first emerged in the city. The Harlem Renaissance established the African-American renaissance in the United States. Large numbers of Italian Americans and Jews emigrated to New York throughout the twentieth century, significantly influencing the culture and image of New York City. American modern dance developed in New York in the early 20th century. The city was the top venue for jazz in the 1940s, expressionism in the 1950s and home to hip hoppunk rock, and the Beat Generation.The City of New York is an important center for music, film, theater, dance and visual art. Artists have been drawn into the city by opportunity, as the city government funds the arts with a larger annual budget than the National Endowment for the Arts, and New York is a major center of the global art market which grew up along with national and international media centers.

Chinatown is a good place to find great food like, Nom wash tea Parlor, Mission Chineese food, Royal Seafood resturant, Spicy Village, and Great N.Y. Noodeltown those are the top 5 places in Chinatown. 

Little Italy is another great place to get any type of food also. The top 5 places in Little Italy are Benito One, II Cortile, Pellgino's, Gelso and Grand, and Paesano of Mulberry Street. 

There are many different languages in New York city like English, Spanish, Italian, German, Greek, Irish, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Ukrainian, Jewish, Mexican, Ecuadorian, and Colombian.
