Died on December 15, 1966 due to lung cancer at the age of 65.

  • Background Information

Disney would watch his daughters play at the playground and he would notice the reactions the parents gave towards the park; the park was filthy and parents were eager to go back home.

This was the birth of his idea, creating an amusement park that everyone can enjoy and most importantly, one that was clean.

The day the park opened, he was excited and he realized that he accomplished what he wanted in his life.

Walt would visit his park a few times a week and would check if the park was clean before it opened.

If something was messy or not in its place, like a wall, he would order his maintenance engineer to paint it over night before the park was opened the next day.
