Valentine's Day

By: Kenyatta Williams

When you think of Valentine's Day do just think of a day that you give each other candy and everything is just the same old boring school day? Well I am here to tell you Valentine's Day is so much more, Valentine's Day is named for a Christian martyr and dates back to the fifth century. It’s also showing appreciation for those you care for. Valentine's Day is not for what get it’s for what you give and for just caring for one another.

I like Valentine's Day because I like to give out cards to show some care for my friends. It lets them know that I care about them. Do you like Valentine's Day?

This years Valentine's Day parties are on February 13, 2017.

Habit Four

By: Hannah Garrison

As many of you know this year we are starting the seven habits. Habit number four is think win-win. Think win-win means that you are being positive about what what other people want.

If you are thinking win-win than you are thinking “I am a problem solver when an issue comes up with with another person. I think about what other people want and not just what I want. I am kind to others and try to think of ways to help everyone to be happy.”

Dear Students, Parents, and or guardians,

By: Autumn Owens

This year we are having a health and fitness week. It will be so much fun. It will be Feb. 6th-10th. Healthy living is what everyone needs. It is always good to be exercising and to be eating healthy.

1st and 2nd will be making/giving presentations. People will be coming in to see the first and second graders. 3-5 grader’s will be going to the health fair (the gym.) There will be several booth’s set  up from different organizations  from our area to talk about healthy living.

Did you know:

Sleeping can be healthy for you. But it can also be bad for you.If you are sleeping a lot, then that is unhealthy. But if you are Sleeping regular then it is healthy for you because it is always nice to give your brain a break from all the hardwork of the day.
