Isidro Lopez …………………..2014 They All Came Just For Me Something big is going on here. Or so I thought that night, As the Masons came to gather round the Great and lesser lights. One from here and one from there From places far and wide, They came to do, I knew not what, As they gathered there inside. But from each man I was greeted, With a smile and voice of cheer. One said, “so you’re the candidate. The reason that we’re here.” I scarcely knew just what he meant, For this was my “first degree.” There must be much for them to do Before they got to me. Surely these guys would not travel for the sake of just one man. Yes, there must be much for them to do, Before my part began. The “Brother Tiler” was my company As I waited at the door To step into this brand new realm I had not known before. They shared with me the three Great Lights and some tools of the trade, That I might learn a thing or two of how a man be better made. When at last I had been seated In this brotherhood of men. The Master then began to bring The meeting to an end. And with all things then completed, They stayed a little more, To eat and drink and share a laugh Before heading toward the door. But as we left I understood And then began to see. That they all came for one reason. They all came just for me. Dear brothers I pray every lodge Will make new ones like me, Feel as welcome as these brothers did, When they held my First Degree. By: Bro. Richard L. Jenkins

From the West Greetings from the West Brothers, and Happy Fourth of July, Did you know that the Grand Lodge of Florida was established on July 6th, 1830? It is exciting to know that in just fifteen years, our Grand Lodge will reach its centennial! Doing a little research, I have found that our first Florida Grand Master was a certain John P. Duval, who was a close relative to none other than our great Masonic forefather, and first U.S. President, George Washington. Happy anniversary Grand Lodge of Florida! From the Secretary's Desk Greetings from your Lodge Secretary, On July 2nd we will be conferring the Entered Apprentice Degree on 3 brothers from our Lodge: Grant Bickford of Fort Myers, Ysel Cardentey of Naples andTony De Olivera of Lehigh Acres, On July 16th-2 will be passed to degree of Fellowcraft Darin Allen Stivers and 3 from Noah Lodge: Robert Ellis, Micheal Fate and Joseph Krieger. Dues for the year 2015 are due now and after 12-27-2015 members can be suspended for non-payment. If you need help call the Secretary 239-675-6503, Please keep your dues up. Your lodge depends on it! Better yet consider perpetual membership. It’s a win-win! No more dues to pay for you, and the Lodge receives interest from the perpetual fund. At the June 18th meeting membership service awards were presented to Ill. Jim Wood marking his 55th year as a Mason and R.W:. Dick Tafel for 50 years. They each had kind words concerning their length of years in Masonry. As well as a 40 year award to Dr. Bruce N Merton, Congratulations to the good doctor! A large Thank you to R.W:. Dick Tafel for his donation to the Lodge. An honorary perpetual membership was applied for the Grand Master Steve Boring. A transfer of Membership was granted to Richard Sullen, Good to have you Brother. The charity of Month was The Dennis Bennett Benefit. He is an Entered Apprentice of our Lodge who suffered burns over the front part of his body. Catechism of Master Mason Degree was given back by Mark David Stewart only 11 days after receiving the degree. We now have a food pantry for emergency use, thanks to R.W:. Ed Lanham. Your Lodge Secretary has been chosen to receive Honors from the Supreme Council in Tampa on Nov. 7, 2015. This means he will be in the Knight Commander Court of Honor. Thank You, Fred Wright
