Looking to start running?
Want to run with other people?
Training for a race and need support and advice?
Come and join us at Banbury Harriers and share our
passion for running whilst making new friends.
We are a friendly club and welcome different ages, abilities and speeds from
beginners and social runners to experienced athletes.
We are starting a new running group in the New Year with a 10-week course, which will be
led by a qualified coach.
The course is for adults and is aimed at people who either currently do no running at all or
who are just starting out and looking to improve.
The new running group will take place on a Thursday evening at 6pm, meeting
in the Clubhouse at Drayton Academy. The first two sessions are free, after
which it will cost £2 per session. The first session will be held on Thursday
12th January 2017, anyone interested please email us at
We’re on the lookout for new adult members, so whether you are interested in developing
your athletic abilities or just want the company of regular training partners and the safety of
running in a group we cater for all. It does not matter what aspect of athletics you are inter-
ested in, the club takes part in various competitions and leagues including cross country,
track and road races.
The Club has the use of fantastic facilities including an all-weather track, as well as the
school’s gym during the winter season and the Clubhouse, which has toilets, showers and
changing rooms. In addition, there is easy access to a wide range of running routes in the
area and pleasant off-road runs in the summer.
We meet twice a week on a Tuesday and Thursday evening at 7pm,
meeting in the Clubhouse at Drayton Academy.
