2017 Envelopes: Some people have been wondering why they can not keep their previous number. The
reason for this is because, we have people that have passed away or moved away and these envelopes are
not used. We can not order envelopes by the number we need. If we don’t change numbers to keep them
consecutively, we are getting unnecessary envelopes which we still need to pay for. PLEASE PICK UP
YOUR NEW ENVELOPES THAT ARE AVAILABLE AT THE FRONT OF THE CHURCH.
Please pray for our brothers and sisters who are sick in the hospital and in their homes:
Claude Auger, David Pomedli, Bernadette Shenher, Dale Jackman, Doreen Freeman, Ed Friedt,
Marianne Lesniewski, Marlene Grieve, Liz Dolan, Leah Catibog, Dave Grajczyk, Anne Boychuk, Gail Larochell,
Myla Morales, Anne Nickel, Elizabeth Franks, Mary Larrivee, Joan Measner, Morris Zakreski, David Lyons,

Education Belongs to Community is a campaign to share information and thoughts on the importance of local
and community voice in education. Let the Government of Saskatchewan know that while they are considering
changes in education, we need to keep our school boards, including Catholic school boards, democratically
elected and keep decisions closer to our communities, for the benefit of all students. To find out how you can

Thinking Faith! January 3, 2017 TF16: The Bible: How'd We Get It? Part 1
This week on Thinking Faith! Eric and Brett break open that dusty tome on the coffee table and discuss how
we ended up with this collection of stories and chronologies we call the Bible. In this first of two episodes, we'll
look at the development of the Hebrew Scriptures, what we commonly term the 'Old Testament'. If you've ever
wondered where these stories came from, who decided which books would be in the Bible, and why we'd
invite you to listen in and find out! Link: http://thinkingfaith.libsyn.com/the-bible-howd-we-get-it-part-1

TF16.1: Special Christmas Edition - Archbishop Donald Bolen's Christmas Homily
This week we're pleased to offer you a special, bonus, Christmas episode of Thinking Faith! We know you're
all getting back to work and trying to find your way into some sort of routine in these first dark, cold days of
January and with the Christmas liturgical season wrapping up soon, we thought we would offer you one, final
Christmas present in the form of our Archbishop's Don Bolen's Christmas Homily delivered at Midnight Mass
on December 24, 2016, at Holy Rosary Cathedral in Regina. We hope you enjoy this special broadcast and
would like to take this time to wish you a final, blessed and Merry Christmas and a happy New Year from
every at the Archdiocese of Regina!

TF17: Interview with Archbishop Donald Bolen
This week Eric and Brett are very blessed to have newly appointed Archbishop Donald Bolen in studio! We'll
take some time to get to know our new Archbishop a little better, discuss a couple of interesting anecdotes
from his installation Homily and get a better sense of his particular vision for the Church in the Archdiocese of
Regina.

WEEK OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY JANUARY 1825, 2017

Jesus Christ Our Saviour!

Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
As we prepare to celebrate the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, the Church recalls a special moment
in its history 500 years ago. The Reformation changed much in the life of the Church. As scripture shows,
it is important not to be limited by what happened in the past, but rather to allow the Holy Spirit to open
us to a new future in which division is overcome and God’s people are made whole.
Come help us celebrate and worship together!
We look forward to meeting you!

“Now the Lord has spoken who formed me as his servant from the womb...” Isaiah 49:5
You have to do what God is calling you to do and I have to do what God is calling me to do. Guess what,
each of has been given a different plan! So, stop comparing yourself to others. Don’t let envy and
jealousy enter your life. Be thankful for the gifts God has given you and generously share them with
others.
FOUND in Church parking lot a black extension cord. Please call the parish office to arrange to pick it up.
