BUILDING INFORMATION

Originally the Goodwich Company, founded in 1870 by B.F Goodwich. His company produced hoses that would not burst under pressure. Moving on later to produce the pnuematic tires to meet the demand and popularity of the automabiles. This catapulted Akron's rubber industry, hailing it the "Rubber Capital of the world." 

 

 

 

BUILDING HOURS

Employee's have 24-hour access to the building with their ID card. After hours and on weekends, employees will need their ID to access most areas, including elevators and stairwells.

ELEVATORS

There are four elevators. The elevator on the left takes you to floors 1-5 and the elevator on the right goes to floors 6 & 7.  

 

Freight: There is one frieght elevator 

 

 

STAIRWAY ACCESS

In emergency situations, follow the instructions given over the building's PA system. The building has a total of four staircases. All staircases can be used in case of an emergency. 

 

The staircases are located on each floor by the elevators 

 There are two emergency staircases in the office. One is located on the 4th floor by the creative department and the other is in the 3rd floor kitchen.

RECYCLING GUIDELINES

No food is to be thrown into the wastepaper basket at your desk. Each floor has a recycling area in the kitchen for trash, bottles, and paper. Each printing room has recycling bins for paper.

GEOMETRY GLOBAL SOCIAL GROUPS 

 

 

Here at Geometry Global, we love fostering a sense of fun and inclusion. To support this, we've created a few social groups within the company. These groups are free to join and is a great way to meet new people. Below are some of the social groups we currently have established. We encourage any Geometry Global employee to join these awesome organizations! 

 

 

Social Circle

Also known as the Geometry Global Culture Committee, this group seeks to discover, build, and inspire a sense of community through traditions unique to Geometry Global and it's diverse members. They put together various events such as Thirsty Thursday and Bagel Thursday as well as Movie Mondays. 

  

 

Mothers at Geometry 

A multi-faceted group, this organization helps mothers feel more in control of blending their work and family lives, as well as creating a network of support. Mothers at Geometry offers a group coaching program, activities to build agency culture, and additional parent-base learning.

This group recognizes, elevates, and supports the women within our company at all ranks in various ways. SMOKING

Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, is prohibited in all areas of the building, in the Rooftop Garden, or within 25 feet of the building.

 

You may smoke beyond 25 feet of the building. Please dispose of cigarette butts in the appropriate receptacles. 

 

PETS

No pets are allowed in the building unless for a shoot. A request must be sent to Property Manager, Dave Groves 330-374-0658 or DGroves@SchipperGroup.com before the animal(s) are brought into the building.

 

WINDOWS

Windows cannot be covered or obstructed in any way. No lettering, sign, notice, or object can be displayed on the interior or exterior of windows. No items (e.g., books, decorations, etc.) should be put on windowsills.

 

NOISE

Noise that may disturb other employees is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, music or the playing of musical instruments, recordings, radio, or television.

Small personal items, such as photographs, coffee mugs, and desk accessories are perfectly okay at your new work station. However, the building is not responsible for the loss of personal items, so please do not bring any valuables. All workstations and offices also have lockable cabinets, so secure personal items when away from your workspace, particularly your wallet, purse, and cell phones.

PARTIAL-BUILDING EVACUATION

If a partial-building evacuation is necessary for your floor, please remain calm and listen for instructions given by floor wardens or to messages coming over the PA system.

SAFETY & SECURITY

 

FULL-BUILDING EVACUATION

If a full-building evacuation is necessary, it will be done floor by floor. Please remain calm and listen to instructions. If you need assistance to evacuate, please proceed to the nearest emergency exit and wait for help. The designated  assembly areas are:

 

  • Behind Canal Place bridge 

Stay in the area until you receive further instructions

 

EMERGENCY PROCEDURE DRILLS

Building management will conduct periodic emergency procedure drills.

All incoming mail, including FedEx and UPS deliveries, will be sorted to your location by Jasmine

 

OUTGOING MAIL

Outgoing mail should be put in the box in Finance Department. Fill out the check list and place it in the bin. 

 

DELIVERY OF PERSONAL MATERIALS

Personal deliveries are discouraged for security reasons. Personal deliveries may not be accepted at the building's Mail Center. If you are expecting business-related packages to be delivered to you, please notify.
