MA SCHOOLS FOR AGES 4 TO 18 YEARS Lazy Ace Travel Arrangements Thank you to everyone who responded to our Lazy Ace travel survey We still have a couple of people who have not got back to us so we will speak to you on Saturday It is really important that we know if you wish to be part of our Lazy Ace production as this clearly affects casting for the show At the moment we have 185 people including the staff team who wish to travel with the PQA Edinburgh party to London Everyone else is making their own travel arrangements The most popular choice for transport was by train with a 2 night stay travelling on Saturday and returning on Monday Results of Survey total number of people Train including 2 nights accommodation 112 Aeroplane same day travel 47 Bus overnight with 1 night accommodation 18 It would be a logistical nightmare for us to organise separate travel arrangements for everyone and the numbers interested in flying would be very cost prohibitive to arrange a charter flight so we are concentrating on travelling by train with 2 nights accommodation We currently have 3 companies looking at the best deal for us and will get back to you as soon as we can with a final price and itinerary We hope to have this within the next 2 weeks and we will need to book and pay a deposit very soon after

THE NEW GENERATION OF WEEKEND DRAM Mobile Phones Here at PQA Edinburgh we have decided to implement a rule that will bring all of our students out in a cold sweat make them think that the world has stopped spinning and that life as we know it will cease to exist we are stopping the use of mobile phones during Academy hours PQA Edinburgh is not just about first class performing arts tuition having fun and generally being amazing It is also about making friends increasing self esteem breaking down barriers working as a team and building confident individuals effective contributors successful learners and responsible children and young adults We feel the best way to do this is by talking to each other not staring at a phone or communicating via social media when we are sitting next to each other From this Saturday we will ask all of our students to put their phones away in their bag or their pocket and keep it there until the session has finished This includes the time waiting before our Assembly during break and especially during class If we see a phone we will ask our students to put it away if we see it again we will implement our traffic light system Parents if you need to contact your child during the session then you have our number 07597 321734 we will gladly pass on any message you may have If you would like to discuss this further then please don t hesitate to speak with Leonna Simon or Alana at class
