Introduction About Us History INTRODUCTION As I continue my quest to find the most important and unique bronze African artefacts on the continent the kings and chiefs who are the guardians of these treasures continue to of fer me the opportunity to view and if I am fortunate acquire some very special pieces that have rarely been seen outside of their palaces In this volume you will see some very old tribal artefacts many of which have been used for generations I find the designs and the level of skill used to create these masterpieces simply amazing particularly when you consider these items were created decades and sometimes centuries ago without the benefit of modern technology In these times of hardship tribal life has become increasingly more dif ficult and some tough decisions have been placed before the kings and chiefs While facing questions such as how to provide better schools better healthcare bridges and wells I have had the opportunity to help address some of these issues The kings and notables have given me the opportunity to acquire some of their tribal patrimony and in return I have built schools a hospital a bridge and provided new wells The kings understand that I am not only a collector but I am a protector and educator who is committed to Africa and its heritage and I will continue to show the artefacts the respect they deserve and do whatever I can to insure the Ancestors are proud and pleased their most prized processions remain in safe hands Please enjoy this volume and stay tuned for volumes 3 and 4 which are soon to follow As before it is my pleasure to take on you on this journey with me Rawlvan R Bennett 9300 ACC Catalogue Vol 2 Single Pgs indd 2 2015 12 08 1 37 PM
