Throwing a coin of any amount will do, into the offering box in front of the main hall and then quietly saying a short prayer. When you go into a temple buildings, as a sign of respect you may be required to take off your shoes. Leave your shoes on the shelves at the entrance or take them with you in plastic bags that are provided at some temples.

Brief History

In 624BC Shakyamuni Budda was born; a royal prince. At the age of 29 Budda reitired to the forrest for peace and meditation.  He gave 84,000 teachings of Buddhism. After six years he attained enlightment under the bodhi tree in bodh Gaya India. He rose from meditation and gave the first teaching of the wheel of Dharma. He taught the teachings of Mayana.

Buddhism has 4 practices that they do and that they follow. One of the beliefs is the Four noble truths, which the excistence is suffering. The next belief is the eightfold path, it is the beliefs that the people that follow it have right views, right resolve, right speech, ect. The last belief is  is that Meditation and observance are the foundation of buddhist practice.
