The It Can Wait program started in 2010 at AT&T spreding awareness about the dangers of texting and driving. In 2012, AT&T put the program in action by going into communities and schools getting citizens to pledge against texting and driving. The program has achived the goals that were set which are to show statistically that texting and driving dangers are equal to driving while intoxicated. The second goal was to reduce the number of accidents cause by texting and driving. They have also created an app that turns on automatically when you're driving 15 MPH or more and turns off after you stop. The app disables any phone calls, text messages, or alerts. Parents that are concerned or worried with young drivers can receive a text message if the app is turned off.
