Protein Bars

Protein bars. Everyone loves them. Have you ever had a game, and eaten a protein bar, just to boost up your energy? Well, while protein bars do help with keeping your energy up, they aren't necessarily the healthiest for you. Everyone THINKS they're healthy, but not all of them are. As a matter of fact, a lot of protein bars have lots of sugar in them.

Protein: any nitrogenous organic compound that consists of a large molecule composed of one or more long chains of amino acids and is an essential part of all living organisms, especially as structural components of body tissues such as muscle, hair, collagen, etc., and as enzymes and antibodies.

Water is a clear substance that makes up streams, rivers, and oceans. Water is also a key ingredient to all foods. Water also normally consists of many dissolved substances.

There are many different types of minerals that you can find in different foods. You can find calcium in dairy products, iron in meat, and magnesium in whole grain products. You can find phosphorus in many foods, especially dairy products, fish, and meat. You can find potassium in fruits and vegetables. Zinc is found in most foods, too.

Carbohydrates: Body’s main source of energy. They are generally frowned upon, because of what having too many carbs does. But, carbohydrates are an important part of your diet. Carbs give your body glucose which is then converted into energy. So, eating carbs isn’t necessarily bad for you, but eating too much can lead to health issues.

Sodium:the chemical element of atomic number 11, a soft silver-white reactive metal of the alkali metal group. It is also known as salt. Sodium is found in a lot of foods, but too much of it can be very harmful.
