Their slogan: "It Can Wait" was a simple yet brilliant way to tell teens and adults alike to avoid texting and driving in any situation... It can wait.
AT&T's "It Can Wait" campaign was created in 2010 to prevent texting and driving of all types. They took action by putting up ads on TV, Billboards, and even going to schools with technology to show the very real dangers of texting and driving.
In Addition to this, AT&T encourages everyone to "Take a Pledge" and join a large group of people who have swore not to text and drive.
DON'T TEST YOUR LUCK.
- Cell phone use leads to around 1.6 Million crashes a year.
- Out of those crashes nearly 330,000 injuries occur.
- Texting while driving is 6 times more likely for you to cause an accident than driving drunk.
- In 2013 alone, 3,154 people were killed in distraction-related crashes!
AT&T's goal is to stop the many casualties that texting and driving causes. Texting and driving isn't just dangerous to yourself, it's dangerous to everyone around you. That risk isn't worth a reply to a text. It Can Wait.
