What are the 6 different types of nutrition and how much do we need of each one in order to be healthy and have a balanced diet ?

#1 Carbohydrates : Carbohydrates are found in foods like pasta, grains, milk, ice cream, beans and other plant based proteins. The Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommends that carbohydrates make up 45 to 65 percent of your total daily calories. So, if you get 2,000 calories a day, between 900 and 1,300 calories should be from carbohydrates. This means about half of what you eat should be carbs so how much of foods should we have to get the right amount ? Normally for someone who needs 2,000 calories a day they need 225 to 315 grams of carbohydrates per day. You can find the grams of a serving size of food on the back with the nutrition facts. Another important fact to keep in mind while paying attention to carbohydrates is that there are good and bad carbs. The carbs we want in our diet are the carbs full of fiber like whole grains and beans To many carbs can make it hard to lose weight and. Examples of bad carbs would be wight bread and wight rice.

#2 Fats : Fats believe it or not are an essential and important part of our diets. Good fats give your body energy and support cell growth. They also produce important hormones. Your fat intake should be around .4 to .5 grams per pound of your target body weight. For an example if you weigh around 180, then you could eat up to 90 grams of fat in your diet everyday. You can find the grams of fat in one serving size of what your eating, on the back included on the nutrition facts. Like many other things in life there are the good and bad. Good fats come from foods like Avocados, Walnuts, Salmon, ground flax seed and other natural foods. Bad fats come from saturated or trans fats. Fat  from pork, beef and chicken skin are apart of the bad fats family. As well are high fat dairy products like sour cream, butter, cheese.

Men need much more protein do to muscle mass. So how can we measure the proteins in our food? An egg a day is a protein boaster. A handful of almonds will also benefit your daily protein needs.

# 4 Vitamins :  Now a days people don't get enough vitamins ! I suggest everyone takes vitamins ever5y morning. Vitamin C is especially good for skin and blood so keep that in mind when thinking about taking vitamins. There are plenty of vitamins you need tho. Vitamin A, B, C, D, E, K, Calcium. You can find most of these vitamins in fruits, vegetables, milk and other organic foods like these. Vitamins can help with your eye sight and boosting your immune system.

# 5/ 6 Minerals: minerals are important for building strong bones, blood, teeth, skin, hair, and muscles. They also turn the food we eat into energy. Minerals are all over. Some names of minerals are calcium, Potassium, magnesium, and many more. Drinking water is really important for keeping our mineral intake up.
