In addition to FASET orientation Georgia Tech offers a number of extended orientation experiences to help you get acclimated to life at Tech Intended to supplement FASET these programs range from fun and games at camp to an immersive volunteer experience to outdoor excursions and to academic jumpstarts In all of these programs you will meet many other new students and learn more about yourself as well as campus resources and traditions Faculty and experienced student leaders will be there to mentor you and share their vast knowledge and expertise You will be a Yellow Jacket in no time Students who have participated in an extended orientation program say the experience not only confirmed that Tech was the right choice for them it also helped them make a smoother transition to college So read on to find the extended orientation experience that is right for you

Wreck Camp August 10 12 230 Wreck Camp is an extended orientation experience that takes you off campus to a nearby camp complete with cabins a dining hall recreational facilities and more For three days and two nights you will join other incoming students and student leaders for a thorough introduction to Georgia Tech its culture and traditions There will be activities such as skits trivia small group sessions a field day competition leadership development activities you know camp Wreck Camp is all about community traditions and transitions Wreck Camp International August 10 15 445 Through Wreck Camp International international students will have an opportunity to move to campus early to attend an extended orientation program customized especially for them with specific activities and student leaders to help them transition to Georgia Tech After Wreck Camp is over firstyear international students will attend regular FASET orientation August 13 14 where they will receive their BuzzCard meet with academic advisors and register for classes After attending FASET international students will have an additional day of programming August 15 that will guide them through cultural and academic transitions help them learn about additional campus resources and give them access to local stores where they can purchase necessities for their college career Wreck Camp International first year students only is Thursday August 10 Tuesday August 15 Price includes Wreck Camp FASET 6 and an additional day of international transition workshops For more information including fees please visit nssp gatech edu or email nssp studentlife gatech edu ntureFunInvolvementExperienceExplo
