COMMUNITY
We started our business with the hope that, if successful,
we would be in a position to give back to our community,
both locally and globally, in a meaningful way. Every
single day, our loyal customers help us achieve that goal.
Thanks to everyone who has taken a moment out of their
life journey to enjoy one of our creations or to spend
some time with us. We appreciate you, and we appreciate
your business.

“The Smoketown Wheelhouse Project aims
to redevelop a 2-acre lot in Louisville’s
Smoketown Neighborhood as a community
asset for those who have lived in the
neighborhood for generations, as well as
those yet to come. The Wheelhouse Project
is focused on building a healthy community
by bringing a few key components to
the site: space to exercise and play and
economic development opportunities.
To get input from our neighbors, we have
been holding PopUp Ice Cream Socials in
the neighborhood. We have given away
837 scoops of ice cream and gotten
hundreds of ideas from grownups and kids
of all ages.”

each year to support programs, equipment,

education at Norton Children’s Hospital
and its sister facilities.
A huge thank you to The Comfy
Cow for bringing sweet treats
to the children’s hospital last
week! Patients and their families
received their own personal pint
of ice cream and a visit from a
very popular cow.

Children’s Home
St. Joseph
The Comfy Cow stopped by St. Joseph’s
Children’s Home to provide a Christmas treat.
The children’s home calls it a fun partnership
that allows the kids to enjoy something special
during a dicult time of year.
“It’s a tough time for our kids. We have 48
children here in residential who call St. Joseph
their home all year long. It’s a tough time for
them. Many of them are waiting for family.
Many of our kids who can’t go home to a family
at all during the holidays, so a thing like ice
cream, right, that we all look forward to, that
we all enjoy during the holidays, they get to
do today,” Grace Akers, executive director, St.
Joseph’s Children’s Home, said.
This is also the time of year when St. Joe’s looks
to the community for help to support its kids.
