Walt Disney

Chase Lambert

I chose this animator because I always felt like he had a great sense of humor in whatever he was doing. He went above and beyond on animating and never backed down from any challenges. It seems to me that that is why he was such a good animator. Even though he didn't survive that long he did great deeds to anyone that fell in love with his theme parks or Disney franchise/movies.

Walt Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois. When he was a boy, he took art classes and became an illustrator at the age of 18. In the 1920's he moved to California with his brother and set up a studio. In this studio is where he created Mickey Mouse in 1928. He then started to do full length cartoons, his first one being Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. He went on to create many more such as Pinocchio, Dumbo, Cinderella, and many more. Walt Disney won five Academy Awards for Mary Poppins in 1964. He hold the record of winning the most Academy Awards with 22 awards. In 1955, Disneyland was opened and ten years later, in 1965, Walt Disney began construction of Disney World. Walt Disney passed away on December 15, 1966, before the project was completed. His parks are still open today as "The Happiest Place on Earth!"
