We are celebrating the women affiliated with Bye
Aerospace and honor them for their remarkable
accomplishments.
By highlighting them, we hope other women are
inspired both at the business and leadership-level,
as well as entry-level, providing mentors for young
women exploring the possibility of becoming a pilot
or entering into aerospace careers!
BYE AEROSPACE
Diane Simard is Senior Vice President and Secretary
of the Board of Directors of Bye Aerospace. Named
one of the inaugural “National Women in Business to
Watch in 2017” by bizwomen.com.
Diane is responsible for managing the company’s
media strategy, investors and business partners. She
also helps manage Bye Aerospace’s relationships with
government representatives and has a strategic
advisory role to the CEO.
She is an active private equity investor in numerous
early-stage companies and has served on several non-
profit, corporate and advisory boards. Prior to joining
Bye Aerospace, she was Director of Community
Relations at IITC, an information technology services
company that served DoD customers. During her
tenure, she helped the company achieve over 400%
revenue growth before it was acquired for $36 million.
Diane graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s
degree in journalism from the University of Nebraska-
Kearney.

Diane Simard
After completing treatment for Stage III breast cancer in 2015, she
founded the Center for Oncology Psychology Excellence (COPE) at the
University of Denvers Graduate School of Professional Psychology,
the first specialty in the nation to train graduate psychology students
how to work with cancer patients, survivors and caregivers. In 2016
she was named the “Outstanding Woman in Business in Technology
and Telecom” by the Denver Business Journal. She is completing a
book about her advocacy work to bring more attention to the
psychological impact of cancer.
Ms. Carol A. Melton became Time Warner’s Executive Vice
President for Global Public Policy in 2005. She is responsible
for overseeing the Company’s policy offices
in Washington, D.C., London, Brussels, Hong Kong and
Buenos Aires. As Time Warner’s chief public policy strategist,
she works across all of Time Warner’s
business units in managing issues connected to their domestic
and international operations.
Ms. Melton previously was a member of Viacom’s
senior management. As Executive Vice President for
Government Relations, she oversaw policy issues for Viacom’s
combined businesses with CBS at the time, including all of
CBS (entertainment, network, news, television, radio),
Paramount, MTV Networks,
Showtime and Simon & Schuster.
Ms. Melton has also served as Legal Advisor to the Chairman
of the Federal Communications Commission;
as Assistant General Counsel for the National Cable &
Telecommunications Association; and as an associate
with the law firm of Hogan & Hartson (now Hogan Lovells). Ms.
Melton serves on the Board of Trustees
of JBG Smith Properties (NYSE: JBGS).
Carol is on the Board of Directors and First Vice
President of the Economic Club of Washington, D.C.,
as well as the Boards of start-up incubator Halcyon
and the Phillips Collection.
Ms. Melton earned a J.D. from the Washington
College of Law at American University; an M.A. in
Journalism and Communications from the University
of Florida; and a B.A. from Wake Forest University.

ranging from arts and letters to
national powers. Melton was
spotlighted in business, labor
and lobbying category.

Stephanie Lien
Ms. Stephanie Lien received a BS in Biology from Creighton University
and an MBA in Finance from Regis University. She began her career
working for Senator Pressler from South Dakota in Washington
DC. After that, she managed a private placement investment
partnership, of which she was 1/9th owner.
In 2006, Ms. Lien started her own real estate firm, VIP Properties, in
Rapid City, SD. She built the firm over the next nine and one-half years
to a level of 24 agents and the largest portfolio of luxury real estate in
her market. She sold VIP Properties in 2016.
Ms. Lien played an integral role in the building and fundraising for a
company called HMC, of which she is currently an officer and
investor. HMC has patented technology that uses Carbon Dioxide as a
working fluid to produce clean, geothermal electricity at lower well
depths and lower temperatures than traditional geothermal
technology. Currently, Ms. Lien owns Privee, Inc. which specializes in
private commercial real estate transactions and consulting.
K. Nicole Robinson Asarch (aka Flores) recently retired
from her investment banking career position to pursue
other endeavors including expanding her investments in
the East African corridor. She has been involved in real
estate finance and development for more than 25 years,
financing over $2 billion in real estate developments
throughout her career. Most recently, Ms. Asarch was an
Executive Vice President at R4 Capital, a national
investment banking firm, serving as director of the
company’s Austin, Texas office.
Ms. Asarch started her career in real estate as a
developer with American Multi-Housing Partnerships, Inc.,
where she ultimately served as Executive Vice President
responsible for building 2,5000 new apartment units in
Texas and Colorado. She subsequently founded and
served as President of Madhouse Development Services,
Inc., which she later sold. Her passion for real estate
began in the public housing sector where she focused on
programs for the homeless working directly with affected
persons in Corpus Christi, Texas. Ms. Asarch received her
BA from California State University at Fullerton.

Nicole Asarch
Ms. Asarch is currently a partner in Staffable, a social impact
company with offices in Denver and Kampala, Uganda. Ms.
Asarch previously served as Secretary to the Housing and
Economic Development Advisory Council of the Federal Home
Loan Bank of Dallas and is currently the Chairman of the Board
for the Texas Affiliation of Affordable Housing Providers, also
serving as the chair for the annual Texas Housing Conference.
In addition, Ms. Asarch currently serves as a Director on the
Board of the Rainbow Housing Assistance Corporation, is also a
member of the Tax Credit Advisory Group (TAG) for the Colorado
Housing Finance Agency and has been a frequent speaker at
prominent housing industry conferences and events.
Nadege has a background in Business Development and Project
Management, and is currently participating in an Aerospace MBA
program for Toulouse Business School. Passionate about Aviation
and Aerospace, Ms. Fourny is presently working on her private
pilot's license.
She has consulted on Architecture and Engineering in both public
and private market sectors. She is experienced in strategy,
marketing, market-sector analysis, key account management, and
new-client development for both Aeronautics and Luxury
Hospitality.
Prior to this she was a Project & Bid Manager in various industries
on several projects such as Banque Internationale à Luxembourg,
QATAR State, General Motors Europe, PFIZER, and Réseau Ferré de
France.
Nadege's education includes a Bachelor in Science and a Masters
of Applied Art & Design in Architecture with a second Master's in
Structural Dynamics.
An avid pilot, Ms. Brittany Mulculka graduated with honors
with a BA in Aviation Human Factors from University of
Illinois.
She now organizes and manages Redbird Flight
Simulation’s marketing efforts through content creation,
social media, communications, and events. Lead planning
and onsite management of the annual Migration Flight
Training Conference and Redbird’s presence at other
events such as Heli Expo, Sun-n-Fun, and EAA AirVenture
aviation tradeshows.
Prior to Redbird she lead the Pilot Community
Development team towards success by creating easier
entry points into aviation, more affordable ways to fly, and
a more connected general aviation community through
these efforts:

Ms. Liz DeStaffany, is a highly
experienced pilot,
flight instructor and busy buying
and selling aircraft, managing
aircraft and providing General
Aviation consulting.
Previously, while remaining an
active flight instructor,
Ms. DeStaffany was in project
management for client solar
installations.
Ms. DeStaffany holds a
Bachelor of Journalism and
Photography from the University
of Texas, Austin.
Liz is also an FAA Flight Instructor
with jet ratings and has managed over
fifty air to air and air to ground
shoots. She has worked as a pilot and
aerial consultant to CBS, ABC, Fox,
and other news networks. Liz is a
safety expert and flies at least four
days a week.
