Here we present you a meal, each part is from a different country. The starters will be from Mexico The main dishes will be from Japan The desserts will be from U.S.A We hope you enjoy it!

A MEAL AROUND THE WORLD

  • STARTERS:

We decided to start with some mexican starters: Nachos with cheese, guacamole and pico de gallo amd quesadillas.








NACHOS

Ingredients:

  • For the Nachos, you can buy a bag at the supermarket. 
  • So we only need to prepare the cheese sauce, the guacamole and the ''Pico de Gallo'



PICO DE GALLO

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups of chopped red fresh tomato

1 cup of chopped white onion

1 or 2 very chiles serranos slightly cut 

½ teaspoon of of powdered cumin

½ cup of chopped coriander

The juice of 1 lemon (as much salt as you want)




GUACAMOLE

IGREDIENTS:

3 avocados

40 grams of onion

120 grams of tomato

1 chile 

1 lemon or lime

Fresh cilantro

Salt


PREPARATION:

  1. Before peeling the avocado, chop the onion.2.- Take the tomato and do the same, take off the seeds and chop it in very small pieces
  2. Now chop the cilantro leaves little by little, don’t add so much. (a ½ spoon)
  3. Chop the chile in little pieces and don’t add too much.
  4. Now is time for peeling the avocados, when they got peeled, take the avocado fresh and with a fork make a mash with a bit of lemon juice and every ingredient and a pinch of salt.
  5. Mix everything and if it is necessary, add more salt, chile or cilantro.



CHEESE:

INGREDIENTS:

A glass of liquid cream

Cheddar cheese in slices (As much as you want)


PREPARATION:

  1. Pour the cream in a saucepan 

  2. Add some cheese slices 

  3. Leave to cook on a low heat

  4. Stir it until the ingredients form a thick layer

  5. If you prefer, you can use the ingredients to mix the ingredients

  6. Now we have our cheese sauce. It mustn't have any cheese  pieces 





QUESADILLAS


INGREDIENTS:

Eight flour tortillas

 200 grams of Minced pig meat

200 grams of minced beef 

Tomato sauce

Mozzarella cheese to melt

Olive oil

Salt

Grinded chili (optional)


PREPARATION:

  1. Fry the pork meat in a big pan where we put a bit of olive oil.

  2. Move the meat so it doesn't stick

  3. Add a pinch of salt

  4. Once we have the meat cooked, we add to the pan the tomato sauce, as much as we want.

  5. If you want the quesadillas a bit spicy, add a pinch of grinded chili

  6. With the meat and the sauce cooked, we pass to heat the tortillas in a pan or in the grill

  7. When you have ready the tortilla, add the sauce and the meat, but be careful so it doesn't spread. Over it, add the grated mozzarella.

  8. We cole the quesadilla adding another warm tortilla on the top, or folding it. (But adding less filler)

  9. Eat warm and enjoy!




MAIN DISHES:

The main dishes are from Japan. We are going to prepare sushi and rice noodles.


SUSHI

INGREDIENTS:

Special rice for sushi

Nori algae

Rice vinegar

Salmon


PREPARATION:

  1. Take a bowl and wash the rice
  2. Boil it for 15 minutes
  3. Use a bowl and swip the rice to make it colder. Then move it slowly.
  4. Put the algae in a foldable and the ingredients you want to add (in our case we´ll use salmon)
  5. Leave it 5 minutes and then cut it.
  6. You can serve it with soy sauce and wasabi and ginger.





RICE NOODLES

INGREDIENTS:

Rice noodles

Bean sprouts

Teriyaki sauce

Zucchini


PREPARATION:

  1. Heat the water until it boils

  2. Add the rice noodles for four minutes and cool it fast

  3. Add bean sprouts and Zucchini cut.

  4. Sauté the ingredients with soy sauce and teriyaki sauce







DESSERTS:

We have selected the best American desserts for you


Pancakes:

Ingredients:

150 grams of  flour

2 eggs

25 grams of sugar

50 grams of butter

200 ml of milk

Some drops essence of vanilla

12 grams powdered yeast

some table salt


Preparation:

1-  Mix the flour, powered yeast, sugar and salt

2-  Beat the eggs, melt some butter and add the essence of vanilla

3-  Mix all the preparations

4- In a pan put the mixture

5-  When you see bubble it is time to turn over the pancake and wait 30 sec.

6- Add the maple syrup 





Red velvet cupcakes

Ingredients: 

4 tablespoons of butter

One egg

One tablespoon of cocoa powder

3 tablespoons of red food coloring

Half tablespoon vanilla extract

Half cup of buttermilk

One cup and 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Half teaspoon of salt

Half teaspoon of baking soda

One and a half teaspoons distilled white vinegar

Frosting

4 ounces butter (at room temperature)

4 ounces cream cheese (at room temperature)

2 and a half cups of powdered sugar

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºc more or less

  2. Mix the butter and the sugar about 3 minutes them add the egg and mix unit is well incorporate

  3. In other bowl mix the cocoa powder, vanilla extract and the red food coloring add to the batter and mix until have the characteristic red color.

  4. Mix slowly and add the buttermilk add half of the flour. Repeat the process with the remaining milk and flour

  5. Mix slowly and add the salt, baking soda and vinegar 

  6. Divide the batter between the cupcakes liners and bake about 20 minutes, you can know if the cupcakes are good insert a thin knife  and comes up clean.

  7. Cool for 10 minutes.

  8. to make the frosting: using the whisk, add the butter and cream cheese on high speed about 5 minutes, reduce the speed and add the powdered sugar and then the vanilla and mix in a medium speed for few minutes.
